MEDICAL OUTREACH FOR LESS PRIVILEGED (MOLP)

                                             Medical Outreach for Less Privileged (MOLP)

One of the basic rights of every human being is to enjoy the best possible health. In our health projects, we aim to strengthen the health systems in many developing countries, including Nigeria. The Ministry of Education and Culture Saarland and “Intercultural House Saar e. V.” jointly promote the health project with “Intercultural House Saar V.” Partner organization “Radiant Women Development Initiatives (RWDI)” in Nigeria. Woman

Omoniyi Ogodo-Bach, the founder and chairwoman of the Intercultural House Saar e. V. is the contact person for the project in Germany.

The aim of the project is to increase access to adequate and affordable health care. This particularly affects poor and disadvantaged groups in the population. They fall into this category of widows and widowers, young people, and many people in rural areas. In Nigeria, the life expectancy at age 60 is well below the global average. Additionally currently missing in Nigeria many health workers. That’s why „Radiant Women Empowerment Initiative“ is involved in a variety of ways for the extremely needy so that they can be helped in „Onigambari Community in Oluyole Local Government“ is doing better – in terms of health, but also beyond that and the reduced mortality in the community. Approximately 500 people will be in this community provided. The project is from May 1st, 2023 to December 31st, 2023.

The execution phase addresses the health needs of the community on the one hand and on the other hand, to create awareness in the community through awareness-raising activities. Thereafter will be various information events and seminars on healthcare organized to target populations on selected topics in healthcare attention and advise on the key points.

 

Promoting Rural Integrated Development by Empowering Smallholder Farmers (PRIDES)

Hunger and malnutrition are typical problems in developing countries, despite the significant increase in productivity and the successful fight against
famines. The reason for this lies in the fact that agriculture is not able to
the rapidly growing population with a sufficiently large amount of food
taken care
The project aims to introduce new and improved climate-friendly agricultural
promote practices.
The project is from December 1st, 2022 to May 31st, 2023. WP Schmitz Foundation and
“Intercultural House Saar e. V.” jointly promote the agricultural project with ours
Partner organization “Radiant Women Development Initiatives (RWDI)” in “Alatare Saliu
Village“ in Nigeria.
Due to the project’s success, many organizations in different states of Nigeria want to participate in the „Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA)“ project.

e. V.“ is the contact person and person responsible for the project in Germany.
